Nunsmoor Centre

The Nunsmoor Centre is a community and children and families hub run by the Nunsmoor Centre Trust. They run activities such as:

  • antenatal and breastfeeding support
  • Arts and crafts classes
  • Early Help Family Support for families with children up to the age of 19 in need of additional support including anti-social behaviour, school attendance and emotional wellbeing.
  • English conversation classes
  • Health and wellbeing for over 55 years
  • New Croft Sexual Health Service in partnership with Newcastle City Council and Family & Children Hubs are now offering contraception and sexual health clinics in these community venues.
  • North East Autism Hub: for parents and carers of children under the age of 7, before, during and after receiving a diagnosis of autism. The hub offers: Introduction to autism workshops, one to one appointments, drop in sessions. Contact [email protected] to book a session.
  • Welfare rights benefits advice drop in sessions available on Tuesdays 9.30am to 12pm
  • Parent and toddler group
  • Play and early learning sessions (including over the summer holidays)
  • Public access computers by appointment
  • Halls and rooms for hire

The Trust manages the Access Fund or grant on behalf of Newcastle City Council for children with additional needs and disabilities.
