National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) has a freephone helpline that can answer your queries on any aspect of living with rheumatoid arthritis from medications and procedures, to being newly diagnosed or struggling with claiming benefits. They offer:

• free information booklets on living with rheumatoid arthritis
• an active online community
• Health Unlocked peer to peer support
• regular patient groups where you can meet others going through the same experiences. The North East NRAS Group meet for coffee on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 11.00am in the café, Laing Art Gallery. Contact them for more information.
