Elders Council of Newcastle (Older People’s Forum)
The Elders Council is the older people’s forum in Newcastle and is a voluntary organisation run by and for older people in Newcastle.
Their job is to make sure that the views of the over 50s are taken into account by decision-makers. They influence policy and organise events and projects that raise issues affecting older people.
Older people in Newcastle can join the Elders Council for free. Members receive a bi monthly newsletter and can subscribe to a fortnightly e newsletter. They also have the opportunity to get involved in making Newcastle a more age friendly city.
Working with Northumbria Students, they run Project ICE, get online and setting up your device classes.
