Elders Council of Newcastle (Older People’s Forum)

The Elders Council is the older people’s forum in Newcastle and is a voluntary organisation run by and for older people in Newcastle.

They meet with, represent and give voice to older people. They provide accessible relevant information in person, online and via phone.

They hold events and focus groups where older voices will be heard.  They take part in research and develop creative and community projects for older people in Newcastle.

Members get involved in representation, partnership working, networking and policy decision making. They also have the opportunity to get involved in making Newcastle a more age friendly city.

Older people in Newcastle can join the Elders Council for free. Members receive a bi monthly newsletter and can subscribe to a fortnightly e newsletter.

Working with Northumbria Students, they run Project ICE, I.T., online support and setting up your device classes.
