St Martin’s Centre
St. Martin’s is a modern community facility offering lots of different activities and projects for the local community including:
- Fun activities for all adults including Line Dancing, a weekly craft group, art classes
- Over 55 year olds social groups
- Exercise Classes including Tai Chi, Zumba Gold, Chi Me, Fit & Fab (chair based exercise)
- Parent, baby and children’s activities
- A children’s Nursery
- Befriending and Wellbeing service where a volunteer can visit you regularly or help you to take part in activities at our centre or in the community
- The Avenue Coffee Shop open 8.45am to 3pm, Monday to Friday
- Dementia friendly Memory Tea
- Food parcel support
- Volunteering opportunities
- A weekly lunch club, including a light lunch, quiz and bingo for over 55’s 12.30pm to 2pm
- East End Women meet at St Martins on Wednesdays for wellbeing workshops, practical skills and social activities
- Church services and activities
- rooms available for hire
St Martin’s is a Children & Families Hub where you can take part in free activities for babies, children and young people. You can get information and support.
St Martin’s Centre is a Wellbeing Hub. They’re a warm welcoming place to spend time in Newcastle. They offer a range of support such as hot drinks, free Wi-Fi, place to charge your devices, information, advice and more. Read more about Wellbeing Hubs
Wellbeing Hub open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4pm
