The Galafield Centre
Galafield Centre is one of the Children and Families Hubs in Newcastle. It includes the North East Autism Hub: supporting parent/carers of children before, during and after being diagnosed with autism. For children under 7 years old living in Newcastle. They offer: Introduction to autism workshops, one to one appointments and drop in sessions.
Services available include:
- Health visiting
- Family support
- Community midwifery
- Mental health support
- Children’s therapies, youth provision, training opportunities, childcare and employability services.

- Sexual Health Service for free contraception and sexual health clinics 9am to 11am Monday to Friday
The Centre is run by Action for Children in partnership with other services, including voluntary sector organisations, schools, New Croft Sexual Health Service and Newcastle City Council to create a network of buildings in each locality.
