Volunteer Centre Newcastle

Volunteer Centre Newcastle offers a free service to anyone interested in volunteering in Newcastle. They also provide support to any organisation, no matter how big or small, that involves volunteers or would like to.

They support people to

  •  find volunteering roles that match their interests, skills and experience
  • connect with their local communities through local volunteer roles.
  • complete training to volunteer across multiple roles and organisations

They support voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations by:

  • providing infrastructure support to any group or organisation that needs help to recruit volunteers, or advice and guidance on volunteering best practice
  • representing local volunteering needs and issues through strategic meetings, events, and forums

They are Volunteer Centre Quality Accredited, a quality mark to people volunteering, volunteer organisations, partner, commissioner and funding organisations, that they provide a high quality local service.

Since 2005, Volunteer Centre Newcastle has been operated by the national volunteering and social change charity, Volunteering Matters.

Volunteer Centre Newcastle is funded by Newcastle City Council to promote, support and celebrate volunteering across Newcastle upon Tyne.
