Age Friendly Newcastle
Newcastle is committed to being an age-friendly city. An age friendly city is a place which is good to grow old in and a place where older peoples contributions are recognised and they feel valued.
There is a Newcastle Age Friendly partnership made up of partners from Newcastle City Council, NHS, Elders Council of Newcastle, Newcastle University, voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, creative industries and others.
Age Friendly Newcastle celebrate older people through campaigns and events:

- Age Without Limits champions: People aged over 50, living in England who take part in focus groups, research projects and feedback polls about ageism.
- Age positive Images library: A free photo library with positive images of ageing that can be used by all
