Ever thought about becoming Personal Assistant? Want to find out more?
On Monday 31st March, between 1&4pm, Disability North will be recruiting for Personal Assistants at Work and Thrive Central.
A Personal Assistant is employed directly by a disabled person or a member of their family, to support them to live an independent and full life. What this means will vary hugely according to the person’s needs. Sometimes it can mean helping them around the home with everyday tasks and supporting them out and about in the community to socialise or go shopping, for example. Others will be looking for support to get them to and from work and to help with tasks related to their employment. Some will be looking for both! This is one of the wonderful things about this type of work – every employer will have a unique set of requirements and job description to offer, meaning that no day is the same.
This event is an opportunity to learn more about the role of a Personal Assistant and meet employers with various full and part time jobs to fill.
To register for the event, please use the QR code on the flier or contact Work and Thrive Central.
